Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, how we personalise your experience, and the rights you have.

Last updated July 2026

Kidults Zone ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit or interact with the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Use the contact page.

Data we collect

  • Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. We use this only to send you the newsletter you requested. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting and backend providers log basic request data (IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp, and response status) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. These logs are retained briefly and then deleted or aggregated.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure site usage, and deliver and measure advertising. You can manage these through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
  • Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand how readers move through the site. It does not build a personal profile of you.
  • Advertising identifiers. When advertising is enabled, our advertising partners may collect or receive identifiers such as cookie IDs and mobile advertising IDs to show and measure ads.

We do not sell your personal data or share your email with third parties for their own marketing.

How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the site and its content.
  • To send newsletters you have signed up for.
  • To analyse traffic and understand reader interests.
  • To personalise content and advertising (see below).
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Personalisation

We may use your browsing activity on Kidults Zone, such as the categories or articles you view, to show you more relevant content and recommendations. This personalisation is based on data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

You can withdraw consent for personalisation at any time by updating your choices in the cookie settings or cookie banner. Where personalisation relies on consent, we will not personalise your experience if you decline.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Kidults Zone displays ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partner vendors use cookies, including the Google Advertising Products cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

AdSense may use information collected from your device to:

  • Show ads that are more relevant to you.
  • Measure ad performance and limit how often you see an ad.
  • Detect fraud and abuse in the advertising ecosystem.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, using the YourAdChoices opt-out tool, or adjusting your cookie preferences on this site. More information on Google's practices is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Third parties

We rely on a hosting/edge provider and a managed database and auth service to run the site. For advertising and measurement we use Google AdSense, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager. These services may process data under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or we stop sending the newsletter. Technical logs and analytics data are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EEA, UK, California and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. To make a request, use the contact page and mention "Privacy request". We respond within 30 days.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
